Aloe Vera is a succulent plant with thick fleshy leaves which conceal an inner gel, it has been used for centuries to maintain health and enhance beauty... the Greeks and the Egyptians valued it highly. Aloe Vera, for superb health for everyone from the young to the elderly and pets/animals both small and large!

Aloe Vera works mainly in two ways:
 

• Enhancing the immune system, assisting the absorption of nutrients into the digestive system to work at the optimum - by drinking the Aloe Gels.

Why does it work?

Our largest epithelium is our skin but also included are the lining of the gut, the bronchial tubes and the genital tract. A long chain sugar in Aloe Vera acts on the immune system to help regulate its activity throughout the body. No wonder Aloe Vera works just as well when drinking it, for an inflamed bowel, thrush, mouth ulcers or asthma, as it does on damaged skin!

How does Aloe Vera work? – properties and activities

Its natural anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial action, combined within its nutritional constituents, promote cell growth, and therefore assist healing.

However, it is not only helpful for people with problems, as most people taking it report a greater sense of wellbeing – they 'feel better’ or they report feeling calmer and less anxious. This could be due to Aloe’s effect on the immune system which becomes balanced or fine-tuned and therefore more efficient at defending the body from attack.
